A pleasant countryside hike with steep hills and grazing cows. There's a nice pond and creek with varying amounts of water, depending on the time of year. During this hike in late May the hills were brown and dry, but it was still enjoyabe with herds of cattle to see.

A previous hike in March here featured much greener hills, a single cow, and endless squirrels.

The trail starts flat from the parking lot.

You encounter a small pond pretty quickly.

Looks like a great shady spot for the cows.

Somebody's watching you closely...

Don't let those steep hills get you down!

There's no shade. The trail is completely exposed the whole way.

Dry hills, but still some flowers.

Winding through the hills.

The creek is a nice spot to stop for lunch. Though if you go far enough past the creek, there are apparently picnic tables too.

You might get your feet wet in crossing, or just to cool off.

Some of the hills really are quite steep.

We turned around early at this tree. You can add maybe an extra mile if you finish the whole trail.

Cows coming down the hillside to get a drink from the creek.
