1¾ oz whiskey
1½ oz apple cider
½ oz amaro (Aperol)
¼ oz lemon juice
1 teaspoon simple or demerara syrup
½ teaspoon allspice dram
2 dash bitters
Combine and shake with ice
A spiced up spiked apple cider that's not too sweet. Using Aperol for the amaro was mellow; Averna was too bitter.
