2¼ oz rum
½ oz demerara syrup
¼ oz grenadine
⅓ oz lemon juice
⅓ oz lime juice
⅛ oz absinthe
1 oz club soda
Add all ingredients to shaker except the club soda and shake with ice. Serve over ice, top with club soda, and stir.
Very refreshing and balanced despite the heavy flavors. Use a funky rum with strong molasses flavor. Recipe originally called for ¼ oz Herbsaint and ½ oz of each citrus.
